Champagne Bowl
  
1 bottle sparkling white wine
2 large oranges
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup dry white wine
  
  Chill sparkling wine. Halve oranges lengthwise and cut into thin slices. Place in punch bowl and sprinkle with sugar, lemon juice and the dry white wine. Chill 1 hour or longer.
Just before serving, stir to be sure that all the sugar is dissolved, then pour in the chilled sparkling wine. Serve at once.
Makes about 1 1/2 quarts of punch.
