1 pound fettuccine
2 tbs all purpose flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 cups milk
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
1/2 cup cooked Canadian bacon, diced
3 tbs grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
Cook the fettuccine in a pot of lightly salted boiling water until tender. Drain. Mix together flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg in a saucepan. Whisk in milk and broth until smooth, cook until the mixture boils and thickens. Stir in fettuccine, peas, bacon, Parmesan and basil into the saucepan, heat through. MAKES 6 SERVINGS.*
