1 lb. ground lean pork
1/2 lb. ground lean beef
3 T. chopped onion
1/2 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1 cup water
Ground clove and ground cinnamon
Pastry for a 2 crust pie
Mix pork, beef, onion, salt, pepper and water. Cook slowly for 45 minutes. Add cloves and cinnamon (to your taste). Cook 15 minute longer. Let cool thoroughly about 1 hour. Turn mixture into pastry lined 9" pie plate. Adjust top crust. Cut vents and flute edges. Bake at 400 for 45 minutes. Brush top crust with milk and put foil around edge of crust to prevent burning.
