Mom's Christmas Fudge

Mom's Christmas Fudge

 

1 can (12 oz. size) evaporated milk

4 cups sugar

1 stick butter (not margarine)

1 dash salt

1 package (12 oz. size) semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 jar (7 oz. size) marshmallow fluff

 

In a large heavy saucepan, heat the evaporated milk, sugar, butter, and salt over medium heat, stirring constantly. Eventually it will start to bubble.

When you are able to get a drop of this mixture to form a soft ball in a cup of ice water, remove from heat. Quickly stir in the chocolate chip, marshmallow fluff, and vanilla. Blend until smooth.

Pour into a lightly greased (buttered) 9x13 pan and allow to cool. Cut into squares.
